This sick sea lion pup was rescued after it wandered into a person's yard at Silver Strand Beach in Oxnard on Sunday. The pup was taken in by the Channel Islands Marine & Wildlife Institute. The group said the pup was in poor condition, suffering from emaciation, dehydration and hypoglycemia. CIMWI is treating the young sea lion to give it a second chance at life. This is the time of year when pups start washing up on shore. If you find a stranded marine mammal, you should leave it alone and let rescue professionals like the CIMWI, which serves Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, come to their aid. Photo: CIMWI
Getting ready for the #patchworkshow tomorrow in Santa Ana! Excuse me if I am quiet the rest of the day ✨
Thought I'd share my latest with you. Hard to tell in this photo, but this Humpback is painted on a 8 1/2 inch (21.6 cm) long stone! It is super heavy, too....but when I found this at the beach, I couldn't pass it up. I knew it was destined for something special 💙🐋💙
I am photographing all my new stones right now, so when I get home from the show on Sunday night, I can edit and list any remaining ones in time for a Cyber Monday Sale!
I'll keep you posted!
Sending big hugs to you all on this gorgeous day!!
