Thinking lately about the internets today...if you followed my stories the other day, I shared 5 facts of myself - one of which was that in 1999, when AOL was all the rage (cue the annoying dial-up sound and the guy saying "you've got mail), I had several e-zines. We found all our subscribers through AOL message boards/chat rooms (A/SL anyone?), created text layouts using all the special characters on a keyboard and playing around with colors using HTML codes, and creating graphics using alllll of the Paint Shop Pro Brushes. I I also ended up making e-zine friends - we helped each other with our zines, and even had group zines. I still am Facebook friends with a few of them today.
Eventually, e-zines turned into starting my first blog on Livejournal. I joined a bunch of communities on there, and was super active in the Dodgers one. We even have a picnic meet-up. A few years later, I ended up becoming heavily involved in the scrapbooking community (I also mentioned this in my stories). Back then, forums were huge, so I participated in several and made lots of friends from all over the USA and world, many of whom I ended up meeting IRL at trade shows and who I am still friends with. This is when I started my blog in its present form, which eventually evolved into a travel blog which turned into this IG account.
One of the things that I've loved most about Instagram is the community, and meeting so many people from all around the world, many of them in person, a few of which have turned into lifelong, meaningful friendships. And here I am hanging out with my "internet friends"(@jannarizzy@shannondidwhat@onegrloneworld) on the beach in this photo. What would I do without the internet? (I swear I have "real" friends too, y'all)
Have you met any of your internet friends in person before? 📸: @lewills_972
I am no expert when choosing golf course, but it was super nice to visit the one at @pinecliffs resort. We had a class ourselves and oh how much more do I respect those players from then on. Had my first golf blister in no time. It is NOT easy. But gorgeous location tho. 🏌️🌿

My lasting memory from Baracoa is that it is so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so... friggin’ hot. And has some decent views 🌞 #melt#baracoa#cuba 📍Baracoa, Cuba 🇨🇺
Second shot from Iceland. A visit to their black beaches. Hope you can enjoy the simplicity.

I have learned that life is all about speed of implementation. There is opportunity literally everywhere you look. You just have to be ballsy enough to recognize it and take action immediately. Opportunity doesn’t wait around for you to sleep in. Get up take advantage and seize the day!
Be blessed and stay stoked😎🤙
