"Red Woods" is today's new acquisition, created by Rosie Fairfax-Cholmeley. This piece was also inspired by the woods where she shares a studio with Robin Wilson. The woods either side of the track leading up to the studio are a mix of ancient woodland and 19th and 20th Century plantation and re-forestation. As you look below the trees the floor undulates away into the ever more distance wood; in this part of the wood the undulation is also due to World War 1 trenches that were dug there at the beginning of the 20th Century, long abandoned but still remembered by the earth. As the past starts to seep into the landscape, the scene is reminiscent to J.R.R. Tolkien's black and white ink drawings for Mirkwood, so Rosie has added a line of toadstools at the front of the print as a motif for adventure, which is always guaranteed in Wytham Woods.

Today I have been visiting Windsor Castle, Stonehenge & Oxford. Unsure we can say I took a “day-off” after waking up at 7am but it was a nice (and not rainy!) day though. Truly loved our -grand ma- guide, Chrissie and her wonderful story about Butch and Sundance the two pigs that escaped from the abattoir together to cross the country. Probably my fav part of the day actually - a genuine and inspiring romance between 2 souls. Here are some pictures I took. You won’t see any pictures from Stonehenge because I was bored af to pay £18 to get closer (and not even close) to the stones. I confirm it was properly awkward to take some pictures at Oxford of universities and libraries full of students walking around the city as a group of tourists knowing I just got graduated.. 🎓

Such a beautiful start to the week! 💫 Spending the next 2 days exploring Oxford! 🌸 I’m coming up on 3 years living in London and I’ve never seen this beautiful town! (No excuse considering it’s only an hour train ride 🙈) Fun fact: for those of you who don’t know, I went to @cornelluniversity for undergrad and this place was a cute little reminder of the college town life away from the hustle & bustle of the city! I miss it so very much! More fun on my insta stories 💙 #Oxford#Oxfordshire#TheGrandCafe
Today's photo of the Bridge of Sighs is from @lmjeffcoate! We hope everyone's taking the good weather lately as an opportunity to explore Oxford; don't forget to tag #igersoxford on your images to get a chance to be featured.

Leopard print and a faux fur overload. I could almost be mistaken for an animal... 🐆
And if you're ever under the Bridge of Sighs in Oxford, take a wander down the secret alleyway called St Helen's Passage. It leads to the glorious 600-YEAR-OLD😱 Turf Tavern, where it is alleged that Bill Clinton "did not inhale" while smoking cannabis whilst at Oxford uni... but I think it probably holds a few more secrets than that...
