On its very own hill between the Adriatic coast and Apennine mountains, the first thing you'll notice about Borgo Tranquillo are the views: patchwork fields as far as the eye can see. Pour yourself a drink and take an evening stroll to the sunset bench for some quiet contemplation.
Rumeli Castle/Hisarı is an Ottoman fortress, which is currently an open-air museum on the shore of the Bosphorus Strait. It was built in 1452 by Sultan Mehmet the Conqueror in preparation for his invasion of Byzantine Constantinople. Next to the fortress bus stop are numerous cafes and restaurants. I hope you get to visit it when you are in Istanbul. Also try the popular simit and chai to have something to snack while you walk around. 😉😋 #tbt#travel#thetravellerwomen

“she never seemed shattered. to me she was a breathtaking mosaic of the battles she’s won.” ❤️ 👉🏼 the beauty that is #antelopecanyon was formed by years of erosion, powerful winds, and violent flash floods. if it weren’t for the destruction, there would have never been a canyon, nor would the jagged walls have become so smooth and polished, nor would the iconically crisp beams of sunlight be able to pierce the earth’s surface and illuminate these vibrantly colored depths of rock. it was the wind and the storms that created this masterpiece and made room for the light. ☀️ that is just so powerful and amazing, and such a good reminder for life. ☺️ does this resonate with you? i’ve seen God doing this in my life so much lately. stop resisting and start allowing the artist to make His masterpiece. 🙌🏼
