2018, calls for a monthly post. Apart from my very limited insta posts, I’ve decided to dedicate a post to every month of this year.
This month( January) started off for me with a very special project. My friends and I participated in #khieat. Every bit of this past week was overwhelming, nerve wracking, exciting and overall and amazing experience. For everyone out there I have to say, go ahead and try different stuff even if you fail.Individually I learned a lot, got to know my strengths and weaknesses in-terms of handling pressure, working as a team, setting up a stall and much more. Also learned what the general public expects from vendors and how to manage when traffic increases at your stall. This first picture is of me setting up the stall alone with my workers, this is me looking around at everyone’s stall and thinking if our visibility is evident enough or not. This was the moment #khieat2018 started for me, and for the next three days this uncertainty changed into waiting for anxious customers, to exciting moments to the fact that people had heard about us and were there to try our food.
It doesn’t just end there, going back home everyday for those past three days and reading about our stall and product made this all worth while.
Thank you @dawn_images@cheflingtales@brosmeettheworld for the mention. We truly appreciate it here at team skewers!! Also a special thank you to @keenu.pakistan for their amazing service and individually providing us with keenu workers to make sure every transaction runs smoothly.

My First khousay and it was spectacular!! 😍😍😍 this khousay from khaodosa was one hell of a thing!! The noodle base was Al dente...had that pefect little bite to it!, not mushy at all! The yellow curry was creamy and had a distinct flavour that was complementing the dish! The spicy chicken had the perfect amount of spice not too much, not bland! Topped with crispy papari, fried onions and a touch of coriander! This was a must have! Looking forward to it next year too!
Value for money: 8/10
This was my first time and luckily i got in within 20 min rather than hours! Day1 was a good experience, nothing extraordinary about the food i tried, i was way excited about different innovations but they were okayish! I believed in the hype but was left in despair! The following day i went again due to my sister wanting to go and i must say my experience was quite the contrary!! I was blown away by amazing food great in taste and in visual aspects!! Both days I arrived at 3.30pm and got inside in less than 30 mins..second day it was like 10-15 mins. I had fun! I was there with my friends and family! Looking forward to it next year!! P.s: I get that things happen, in this case long queues, signal jammers, more queues! The thing is to play smart...coming early etc!..when i was exiting i saw a never ending line of more than 1.5 kms at 9 pm at the entrance and i felt sorry for them. I faced some problems too...but at the end of the day I did thoroughly enjoy it!
Another thing i want to add is that many joints were simply ripping our wallets! Almost everything was for 250- 300 and the quantity didn't justify the value!
