Just casually standing on both hemispheres at once 😜. Could you possibly think of a cheesier pose for this spot? Haha! What’s the cheesiest pose you’ve done at a famous landmark?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I turns out that this yellow line has been fooling tourists for years. After modern GPS technology was invented, it was discovered that the correct “middle of the world” is actually just a few yards away. But shhh, lets just pretend 😉.
Back to work today after two days at home (cyclone). Weekend on the way 🤗 📍Batu Caves

New year, new me? Uh, no. 😐
I've been reflecting a lot on the last year and as we all do, thinking a lot about what 2018 holds.
And, I have to say...I absolutely hate this idea of writing off a year.
You've probably all had Facebook news feeds flooded with reflective posts.
Many of them with the declaration that '2018 will be my year!'... yeah?
I think we have a tendency to think that our year is a 'success' if it's filled with achievements, socialising, happiness etc.
This ignores the challenges, the letdowns, and the hardest moments, all of which shape you into the incredible person you are.
Maybe 2017 was hard. Maybe things didn't go as planned. Maybe you've finished the year off feeling lost and you literally have no idea what 2018 holds.
Which is absolutely fine.
I think to write off a year as a failure ignores the range of experiences that humans go through and leaves us with the expectation that our life must be glossy and perfect for it to be worthwhile.
So for the people who had a mediocre 2017, think about how much you have grown.
2018 might be great, but the likelihood is that it will be filled with ups and downs and everything in between.
Which, in my opinion...is just as it should be.
Life is about embracing all experiences and growing and learning from both the good and bad. 💫
So, with that said...tell us - what do you hope that 2018 has in store for you? 💕

Just booked tickets to Morocco! I'll be trekking across the Atlas Mountains with a nomadic Berber tribe this April and I am beyond excited 🎉🎉🎉 Morocco has been on my bucket list as long as I have had a bucket list and I'm nearly crying with joy that this is finally happening. Thanks @intrepidtravel for arranging such an awesome adventure; can't wait to join! 🙌💕 (📷: @danielcgold)
The magical hills of Matagalpa. Matagalpa is becoming popular with tourists for its beautiful nature reserve hikes, coffee farm tours, and in our opinion the best desserts and steaks in the country.

Castles of Sintra💛
I've always thought Sintra was just a big park with a couple of castles and that famous well somewhere in the middle..So in my mind I would go there for just half a day, walk around slowly (no vehicles) and just enjoy my time. Now it sounds like smth veeery stupid and funny🙈 because:
🏰Sintra is not flat at all! It's situated on a huge hill (if one can call it like that) and the distances are not that little
🏰There is A LOT to see. Now I think I would need more than 1 day to see it all or at least I'd arrive there earlier 🏰Save 13€ extra for a hop on-hop off bus that goes between sites - less trouble with parking and traffic
🏰Cabo da Roca needs your patience if you go by the hop on/off bus - 2 hours to go there and back😥 🏰In winter Sintra is windy so don't be lazy to take some extra jacket
Add some extra tips if you went there😉Or maybe you're planning to go there?
You work yeah? So obviously then, sometimes you take time off?
Calling the ladies who ARE NOT digital nomads and who leave work and...are supposed to... switch off completely.
H E L P.
How do you stop thinking about work?
I swear it took me the whole first week of holidays before I went a day without thinking about work!
Does this happen to you too?
Now, don't get me wrong...I am a huge advocate for having a job you love, that you don't mind thinking about outside of working hours...but DAMN girls this work/life balance is a hard thing to get right.
Even harder when it's work/travel and you're in Europe thinking about if you included everything you needed to in that last report you did...oh wait...just me? 🙊
Hahaha 😏 ah. Like I said...help?
I figure I can't be the only one out there who takes leave but who also has to actively try to avoid thinking about work when on holiday.
So, let's share our techniques for forgetting about work! 🙊
We are all career driven ladies here who really CARE about what we do, or what we are working towards...but it is SO important to give yourself a break.
So give me, and the other LGG ladies who might also have an overactive mind, your tips and tricks for switching off and making the most of your travels!
