Happy #wetdogwednesday friends!
I keep seeing the cutest snowy photos ⛄️ We will never have snowy dog faces here (the temp doesn’t go below 26 Celsius even at night) but we do have white sandy faces so I hope this will do 🤗🤗
We are heading into summer here now, how is the weather where you are?

Sweet Dovah of @goldilocksandthewolf is a lovely little pup who’s still a bit shy around new people and places. This is very common and perfectly normal in many domestic dogs, especially Nordic and primitive Spitz breeds. It’s also common in wolfdogs, which is why early socialization is so important.
A balance must be found when socializing any animal, but wolfdogs, in particular, are unique in that their socialization periods start off at about 4 - 6 weeks of age, and continue until about 10 months. At several points in their growth, they also begin to experience a "fear period", where things they have not been introduced to during the socialization period suddenly become incredibly frightening and strange.
Starting early, and socializing the pup without flooding or overstimulating them, is paramount to ensuring that a wolfdog will remain well-adjusted into adulthood. So after a crazy week of running around and viewing some very interesting vehicles, we finally found a 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee out in Surrey, BC. It was being sold by a really genuine nice local, who was wanting to downgrade. It was a little more than what I had planned to pay, but 7 years newer, so I think in the long run it will be worth it. One thing I will say for any Aussies heading to BC, factor in a lot for insurance. Rego was was only $30, but insurance was $2300 for a year and back home I'm listed as a rating one driver. It's not wrong, it's just different, but be sure to budget for it.
