Hillman Beer is excited to be participating in this year’s @bieredefemmefestival in Raleigh on March 3rd from 1-6pm! We will be bringing the Honig Göttin (honey goddess), which we brewed for Biere de Femme Brew Day at Hillman Beer! The beer is a Kottbusser, a German altbier from Cottbus, Germany. Brewed with @riverbendmalt, honey and oats.

The Blue Ridge Parkway is still closed in spots, so we took an alternate route around to reach our favorite trailhead. Warm days, solitary trails, and great company. If this is winter hiking, we'll take it all year round!

Friday is a great day to arrive at a good stopping point in a project. Hoping for early next week for the install! .
While Kiptyn is away at Great Wolf Lodge, I got to soak up some much needed QT with my husband this afternoon.
And it was the most perfect weather to do so! ☀️ We headed to one of our fave local spots, set up shop on our fave double seater wooden bench by the river, grabbed our fave beverages ( a cold 🍺 for him, a cold brew ☕️ and 🥥 LaCroix for me ), and we talked about life. Like intentionally talked and listened to one another. Absolutely zero disruptions. Just us.
It was three of my most favorite hours.
While we both love being parents and both love our jobs, we often times put us on the backburner and neglect that intentional husband and wife time.
So today was all about reconnecting and planning for the future ... with lots of talk about baby.
Savory & *naturally* sweet weekend breakfast🍴
Fruit salad, shredded & sautéed brussels sprouts (just pulse whole sprouts in a food processor then sauté in a little avocado oil with minced garlic + pepper until tender) & 2 fried eggs seasoned with pepper + dried dill + TJs EBTB seasoning
Guess what I’m having for lunch today? SPOILER ALERT: this salad. I know I KNOW — it’s the most redundant salad ever, but it’s just so good I can’t help it 🕺🏼And let’s be real, I will never tire of roasted veggies, either — my personal fav way to eat ‘em 😋 I usually just season them with sea salt + pepper + garlic powder, toss them in some EVOO or avocado oil (I never really measure seasonings or oil for them!), then roast @ 400F for 30ish minutes.

This bowl singlehandedly proved that oatmeal is, in fact, not boring 😛 It’s all in the toppings!.
My classic overnight oats recipe topped off with heated up frozen raspberries + almond butter + chia seeds + hemp seeds + pepita seeds + shredded coconut + coconut chips (I pre-mix all of the nuts & seeds together at once so I don’t have to drag 5 bags out of the pantry every morning!).
